Isolated Fluoroscopy

Abstract
ISOLATED fluoroscopy is a term applied to the use of routine fluoroscopy as the sole method of x-ray examination, unaccompanied by regular films. It is utilized to detect or confirm the presence of disease or to observe its progress. It is one of the very widespread diagnostic measures in American medicine today, for recent statistics1 2 3 4 show that about 50 per cent of the 58,000 general practitioners own x-ray equipment of some type, of which half are fluoroscopic machines alone.
