Abstract
Jejunal biopsies carried out on 9 patients with histologically proved Dermatitis herpetiformis showed in 6 changes corresponding to those found in idiopathic steatorrhoea. In contrast to patients with idiopathic steatorrhoea (coeliac disease) neither precipitating nor complement fixing antibodies against gliadin were found in the sera of the 11 patients with Dermatitis herpetiformis.
