Abstract
The energetics of ion—molecule reactions of ground state C+ ions with O2 and N2 molecules has been investigated. The results indicate that products of both of these reactions are formed in highly excited internal energy states and, in addition, product ions are observed only in the forward direction in the center‐of‐mass system. Keywords
