Abstract
The interaction of influenza virus and human lymphoid cells has been studied by electron microscopy. The results suggest that virus is inactivated by lymphocytes after uptake of virus into cytoplasmic vacuoles. Over a period of 24 hr, the virus particles are processed by the cell, the vast majority becoming undetectable by electron microscopy.
