Temperature Sensitivity of a Sindbis Virus Mutant Isolated from Persistently Infected Aedes aegypti Cell Culture

Abstract
SV-S, a cloned small plaque mutant of Sindbis virus derived from persistently infected Aedes aegypti cell cultures, was shown also to be an RNA+ temperature-sensitive mutant. It interfered with the replication of SV-W at the nonpermissive temperature as well as the permissive temperature, but did not depress net viral RNA synthesis in cells coinfected with SV-W.
