Methoxychlor Residues in Chicken Eggs1

Abstract
Egg yolks from hens fed methoxychlor in their diet at rates of 5,10, and 100 ppm contained residue after 13, 21, and 3 days, respectively. After 28 days, residue in yolks varied from 0 ppm (1 ppm dietary) to 0.31 ppm (100 ppm dietary). All fecal samples except those from control hens contained some methoxychlor. Except for the fat sample from a hen on the 100-ppm diet, no residue was found in hen tissues.
