Abstract
A consequence of photon-assisted-tunneling theory of charge-density waves in quasi one-dimensional metals is that the ac conductivity σ(ω)σbexp(ωsω) scales with the dc current Idc(E)(EET)=σbexp(E0E). In a revised theory, ωs=(c0vF)ωp, where c0 is the phason velocity and ωp the pinning frequency. Expressions are derived for ωs and E0. Relevant lengths are the Lee-Rice domain length, Ld=πc0ωp, the free path, Lc0ωp, and the current-current correlation length, LI(vFc0)Ld.
