Abstract
Lithium was secreted in the the saliva at a higher concentration than it was present in the plasma. The saliva/plasma ratio was independent of the plasma concentration, but inversely related to the rate of saliva secretion. No significant concentration of lithium in the gland tissue occurred. Keywords
