Pancreatitis in Childhood: Experience with 15 Cases

Abstract

The etiology, variable course and prognosis of pancreatitis in 15 children is reported. All patients survived. It is concluded that pancreatitis may be more common in childhood than previously suspected, and that this condition should be considered in children with upper abdominal pain, ascites of acute onset, and after trauma.
