Abstract
Jitter reduction technique for gain-switched DFB lasers using continuous-wave light injection has been successfully used for the first time for electro-optic sampling in the synchronous sampling scheme. This technique enables picosecond time resolution together with low and tunable sampling rate. Its effectiveness is demonstrated by measuring the switching time of resonant tunneling diodes. Keywords
