Abstract
Eyes from 230 patients with autopsy-proven carcinomas originating from various primary sites were subjected to postmortem examination. In 28 cases (12%), metastatic foci were demonstrated histologically. Over one third of the 52 patients with breast carcinoma were found to have ocular metastases. These are higher incidences than have been previously reported in clinical studies. The significance of the high incidence of ocular metastatic carcinoma is discussed. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
