Abstract
In this communication it is our intention to describe in detail the vascular anatomy of the dura mater, and particularly as its peculiarities throw light on the actiology and vascularization of the meningiomata, a class of tumours that has played a large part in the moulding of the techniques of neurosurgery. We believe that our work also helps in the elucidation of the puzzling phenomena of the circulation and chemistry of the cerebrospinal fluid. The relevant pathological activities of the subdural space and the mechanisms of migraine will also be discussed. Keywords
