Abstract
A modified technique for the determination of the sulfation factor is described in which the sternal end of the costal cartilage from intact 21-27 day old and 48 hr. fasting young rats of the Wistar strain is used. This technique is more simple than the one described previously. The precision, sensitivity and reproducibility is of the same magnitude as that of Almquist''s technique in which hypophysectomized animals are used.
