Abstract
Methods of assaying animal tissues and bacterial cells for coenzyme A were adapted for making such determinations on plant materials. The presence of the coenzyme in a large variety of species was established. Coenzyme A is more plentiful in seeds than in other tissues. It was found in every type of living tissue present in higher plants. The coenzyme was isolated from wheat germ in an impure state.
