Abstract
Recent advances in photon detection techniques for the extreme ultraviolet region have been highlighted by the introduction of multichannel electron multipliers and image-sensing detector arrays. Current and potential applications for such position-sensitive detectors in vacuum-ultraviolet and extreme ultraviolet spectroscopy are discussed in this paper. Examples are presented of multichannel spectra of several highly-ionized atoms obtained using fast-ion spectroscopy. Keywords
