Abstract
Of 150 iemale patients attending a venereal disease clinic, 28.8% were suffering from vulvovaginitis due to Candida albicans. In 48% of these patients Candida was also demonstrated in the alimentary tract. A large percentage of the male sexual consorts of these patients suffered from nonspecific urethritis. Candidial vulvo-vaginitis may be an important etiologic factor in urethritis of doubtful causation in the male. This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
