Abstract
The inhibition of trypsin by serum must be sharply distinguished from the inactivation of the trypsin by inhibitors isolated in cattle pancreas and cattle blood. Two independent inhibition mechanisms are present in the blood plasma; one produced probably by a non-specific adsorption of the enzymes to stable serum albumen, while the other depends on a reaction of the enzyme with a specific inhibitor.
