Experimental constraint on widths of postulated low-mass dibaryons

Abstract
The consistency of a postulated P13 resonance near EL=390 MeV with the experimentally determined nucleon-nucleon phase shifts at EL=325, 380, and 425 MeV is examined. It is found that the data require that the width of such a resonance Γ0.3 MeV. A similar restriction on the width of a postulated S01 resonance near EL=300 MeV is implied by the accuracy of the data at EL=210, 325, and 380 MeV.
