Abstract
Infrared spectroscopic experimental evidence has been obtained supporting the idea that NO molecules adsorbed on adjacent sites on a Pt(111) surface are vibrationally coupled. The spectra are inconsistent with a multiple site model or a dimer which have been previously been used to account for the multiple absorption features found in this system.Keywords
