Preliminary results of Nb93 and Na23 spin-lattice relaxation rates in KNbO3 and NaNbO3 are presented. The results are discussed in the light of different critical dynamics associated to the soft modes that drive the phase transitions : some elucidating information about the nature of the critical motions are obtained
