Hypothalamic Lesions and Sexual Behavior in the Female Rat

Abstract
This study reports selective effects on the mating pattern of the female rat of partial destruction of the hypothalamus. Independent neural control of the ovarian cycle and of the mating response are demonstrated. Both depressed and augmented female sexual activity are reported.Keywords
