Abstract
Solutions of the stationary two-center Schrödinger equation with effective Hartree-Fock-Slater-type potentials derived from the Thomas-Fermi (TF) or TF-Dirac-Weizsäcker models are presented for the systems N-N and Ne-Ne. The authors compare correlation diagrams with corresponding Hartree-Fock results and with the results of the variable-screening model of Eichler and Wille. Keywords
