Abstract
When synthetic acetyl-oxymethyl-furfur-acrylic acid is fed to dogs, rabbits and fowls in daily doses of 2-2.5 gm., a substance is present in the urine which, from organic analysis, seems to be carboxy-furfur-acrylic acid. The substance obtained from the urine of rabbits and fowls in the same way seems to be oxymethyl-furfur-acrylic acid.
