Abstract
Alkenylsuccinic acids increase permeability of cells to water by in corporation of the molecules into the lipid layer of the cytoplasmic membrane, thereby changing the membrane from a phase characterized by a high activation energy for water transport to a phase where only the effect of the viscosity of water is observable. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
