Eikonal Model for High-Energy Elasticp−pScattering at Large Angles

Abstract

A simplified form of a relativistic generalization of the eikonal approximation for wide-angle potential scattering provides a semiquantitative description of $p-p$ scattering at large energy and momentum transfer over a variation of more than five orders of magnitude in $\frac{d\sigma }{\mathrm{dt}}$. The model contains two adjustable parameters.
