Abstract
A four-equation drift-flux reactor coolant system (RCS) model REVOT-HKU has been developed by the University of Hong Kong for pressurized water reactor simulators. Models have also been developed to simulate the thermal hydraulics of the RCS as well as the vapor generation rate and void distribution. Comparisons with the FRIGG loop experimental data and the Westinghouse advanced model were made. The results have demonstrated that the present model is satisfactory in predicting void distribution in a boiling channel and RCS dynamics during a loss-of-pumping power transient. Keywords
