Abstract
When [male] rats were unilaterally adrenalec-tomized and given diets which contained varying amts. of Na and K, the avg. wts. of the remaining adrenal glands were not significantly different among the exptl. groups. Similar animals were treated with thyroxine and others were forced to work in revolving cages. The wts. of the adrenal glands of the animals subjected to these forms of stress were greatly increased. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
