Abstract
LSE and LSM fields in generalized planar guiding structures are shown to be coupled only by means of the edge condition, which can be fulfilled as a final step in the analysis. This is utilized by applying the singular integral equation method to fin-lines. Modes up to the 20th are thus easily computed. Keywords
