Incorporation of radioactive amino acids into serum albumin by isolated rat-liver ribosomes

Abstract
Isolated rat-liver ribosomes incubated with adenosine triphosphate and cell sap incorporate amino acids into serum albumin for at least 2 hr. The conditions required are described. Albumin associated with the ribosomes attains a high specific activity, and albumin labelled with amino acids is progressively transferred from the ribosomes to the soluble part of the cell-free system.Keywords
