Abstract
By DNA sequencing and hybridization experiments the genes cob and col on the mitochondrial chromosome of P. anserina were localized. The positions determined for these 2 genes are different from those previously attributed to them. The presence in the gene col of at least 2 introns, belonging, respectively, to class I and II, was demonstrated. This gene, with a size of .apprx. 20 .times. 103 bases, appears to be the longest known mitochondrial mosaic gene.This publication has 32 references indexed in Scilit:
