Abstract
Thyroxine was shown to be the active principle in thyroid glands increasing the production of milk fat and milk when fed to cows past the peak of their secretion. If this effect were directly due to changes in metabolic rate, it should be reproducible with nitrophenols. The results of administration of small amts. of prolactin or dinitrophenol were inconclusive. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
