Treatment of Myasthenia Gravis with Germine Diacetate

Abstract
MORE than three decades have passed since the first attempt to treat myasthenia gravis with veratrum alkaloids.1 , 2 At that time "Tinctura Veratri," given either intravenously or by mouth, was found to improve power in diseased bulbar and appendicular muscles of severely afflicted patients. Those who had previously been unable to sustain adequate nutrition and were in continued danger of aspiration gained weight and were again able to handle pharyngeal secretions safely.
