Abstract
And cluster message passing. This short paperdescribes the issues underlying the development ofparallel libraries with MPI. We motivate the need forparallel libraries, and ezplain why common messagepassingsystems do not support them. We describeadded features needed to support libraries, and whatthese features are called in MPI. We mention additionalfeatures of MPI that support libraries, but whichare beyond the scope of this initial paper on this topic. We provide guidelines in terms...Keywords
