Abstract
One of the biggest problems is that many serious knee ligament injuries are presented for surgery at too late a time. Reasons for hemarthrosis in 50 sports injuries are detailed, along with findings from 50 acute arthroscopies. Diagrams and pictures are presented of various ligament ruptures and repair techniques. Intensive biochemical studies were made of muscle fatigue induced by continuous skiing. Recommendations were presented for ways to prevent skiing injuries, i.e., proper adjustment of release bindings and sufficient training prior to skiing.
