Urinary lysozyme determinations in 12 spinal cord injury patients with normal or near normal renal function, revealed a positive correlation between renal calculosis and lysozymuria. Significant lysozymuria was detected in 71% of patients with renal calculi and in only 20% of patients without renal calculi. The causal relationship between lysozymuria and renal calculosis was not determined in this study.
