THE RELATION OF LIPOCAIC TO THE BLOOD AND LIVER LIPIDS OF DEPANCREATIZED DOGS

Abstract
The blood lipids of de-pancreatized dogs fed balanced diets increased about 25% the 1st wk. after operation and then decreased gradually to a level about half the normal in 6 wks. At this time the livers were markedly infiltrated with fat. The oral adm. of lipocaic produced a prompt elevation of the depressed blood lipid level and a more gradual disappearance of the liver fat.
