The Alzheimer's Disease Knowledge Test

Abstract
The Alzheimer's Disease Knowledge test (ADK) was developed to assess the level of knowledge of Alzheimer's disease of caregivers, professionals, and other personnel involved in the care of Alzheimer's patients. Test development procedures are described and the quiz is presented. An indirect measure of bias was included to identify tendencies to over- or underestimate the severity of the disease. Suggested by preliminary studies is that lack of knowledge is more common than misconceptions.
