Chromosomal Location of Host Specificity in Salmonella typhimurium

Abstract
SUMMARY The chromosomal location of the genes for host specificity in Salmonella typhimurium has been investigated by F-mediated conjugation using host specificity mutants isolated previously. It was found that the sites of mutations leading to two distinct phenotypes, rLTrn,+, and rCTmLT, are closely linked to each other and are located near the marker proC.
