Linear peptide alkaloids from the sponge Clionacelata (Grant). Celenamides C and D

Abstract

Celenamides C and D, 2 novel alkaloids closely related to peptide alkaloids found in higher plants, were isolated as their penta and nonacetyl derivatives, respectively, from acetylated extracts of the sponge C. celata (Grant). The structure elucidation of 7 and 8 is described.
