Extract The anthelmintic efficiency of haloxon (3 - chloro - 7 - hydroxy - 4 - methylcoumarin bis (2-chloro-ethyl) phosphate) was first reported by Brown et al. ( 1962 Brown, N. C , Hollinshead, D. T. , Kingsbury, P. A. and Malcolm, J. C. 1962. A new class of compounds showing anthelmintic properties. Nature (Lond.), 194: 379–379. [Google Scholar] ). Since then it has been used extensively in the U.K., Africa, Europe, North and South America, Australia and New Zealand. It has a broad spectrum of activity against nematodes of domestic animals and birds.
