Abstract
Sequences of four and five consecutive cytosine deoxynucleotides have been detected in DNA from calf thymus, herring testis and Micrococcus lysodeikticus. Some observations are reported on the degradation of DNA by 0-1 [image]-sulphuric acid at 100[degree]. Treatment with aq. 66% (v/v) formic acid at 30[degree] for 17 hr. converted DNA into an apurinic acid with a weight-average molecular weight of 57,000.This publication has 27 references indexed in Scilit:
