A Micro Adsorption Detector for General Use in Liquid Chromatography

Abstract
A micro adsorption detector for liquid chromatography is described. The use of a single system has obviated the necessity of sophisticated thermostatting. The maximum sensitivity so far obtained with this detector is in the order of 10−8 gm (0.05 ppm) of substance, while the response is linear over a concentration range of at least 10−2. The possible use of this detector for readily evaluating optimum conditions for a chromatographic separation is explained.
