Abstract
African volunteers to whom proguanil was being administered in various dosage regimes were exposed almost daily for 2 months to the bite of Anopheles gambiae infected with Plasmodium falciparum.The dosages used were 0.1 gramme daily, 0.1 gramme twice weekly, and 0.3 gramme once weekly.With two doubtful exceptions complete causal prophylaxis was obtained.Keywords
