Abstract
The microwave spectra of NF2H and NF2D have been analyzed. Rotational constants are 53 017.12, 10 895.43, 9307.22 Mc for NF2H, and 44 884.92, 10 749.38, 9 126.26 Mc for NF2D. The structure obtained from these constants is: rNF=1.400±0.002 Å, rNH=1.026±0.002 Å, ∠FNF=102.9°±0.2°, and ∠HNF=99.8°±0.2°. Quadrupole coupling constants have been measured for both isotopic species and the complete field‐gradient tensor has been determined. The dipole moment has a magnitude of 1.93±0.02 D and makes an angle of 19° with the NH bond. An upper limit of 0.2 Mc may be set on the inversion splitting in the ground state.
