Abstract
In this apparatus: (1) protein bands up to 25 cm. in width could be subjected to electrophoresis without distortion, thus increasing the range of analyses of separate fractions; (2) the degree of separation of protein fractions is found to be independent of the position of application of the protein soln.; (3) the increased range of buffers maintains a constant pH over the paper during a long period of electrophoresis. The construc-tion and use of the apparatus is descr. in detail. Keywords
