A mistake in the previous discussion of the modified Lomnitz law of creep is corrected. The index in the law is changed from 0.17 to 0.25. The other effects of creep are rediscussed and some are calculated that had not been calculated with the former index. The results are qualitatively similar to those found previously and no contradiction with the data is found.
