Abstract
Evidence is presented that a lower limit for the polarization of nuclei produced in the () reaction at 2.8 Mev is 17±5%. The sign of the polarization is in disagreement with the Newns model, and it is in agreement with a modified classical model. The sign of the proton polarization determined by Hillman and by Juveland and Jentschke is also in agreement with the modified classical model.
