Abstract
A foveola with signs of atrophy and cystoid edema in an eye with a history of contusion, laceration, and hemorrhage exhibits a selective attraction of blood-filled macrophages. This important observation allows for the conclusion that the avascular foveola can leak into the inner eye like a blood vessel and chemotactically attract vitreous macrophages under these conditions. Keywords
