Isolierung von 6-Hydroxy-östriol aus dem Urin schwangerer Frauen

Abstract
6-Hydroxyoestriol was isolated from enzymatically hydrolysed late-pregnancy urine by column chromatography and preparative paper chromatography. The 6-hydroestriol was identified by column, paper and thin layer chromatography as well as by the infrared spectrum of the free compound, by column and thin layer chromatography of the tetraacetate and by the melting point, by infrared and ultraviolet spectra of 6-dehydro-oestriol, obtained after dehydration of 6-hydroxyestriol and by column chromatography and Kober reaction of the 3-methyl ether of 6-dehydro-estriol. The data available do not permit the definite assignment of the configuration of the 6-hydroxyl group of the 6-hydroxyestriol isolated from human pregnancy urine. Preliminary experiments indicate that the excretion of 6-hydroxyestriol in late-pregnancy urine varies between 50 and 500 [mu]g/24 hr.
