An in vivo31P NMR study of cerebral hypoxic hypoxia in rats

Abstract
Twenty minutes of hypoxic hypoxia in five anesthetized rats reversibly reduced cerebral PCr and pH while ATP stayed constant. Complete metabolic and neurologic recovery occurred after oxygen was restored. Careful control of physiological parameters resulted in metabolite changes that were the same, within errors, in each animal. © 1986 Academic Press, Inc.
